Earlier this year, my trusty rusty camera started behaving not-so-trustfully. Finally, a couple months ago, it stopped turning on at all. I’ve sent it in for repairs, and got it back- almost fixed. I’ll have to call and send it back again. But, in the meantime, I’ve borrowed my mom’s camera a few times- once for several weeks.
This last time I returned it to my mom, I included a little gift of thanks. I wanted to create something cute, clever and camera-related. And I did just that!
Check out my camera matchbox! Its designed to match my mom’s camera. Its almost exactly the same size. I used my punches, a circle cutter (for the larger ones), dimensionals and 1/4″ basic black grosgrain ribbon.
The back of the camera with my kids’ photo in the “viewfinder screen” holding a thank you poster.
The camera opens up like a matchbox, revealing dark chocolate kisses and a strip of photos.
This project uses Basic Black, Basic Grey and Going Gray, all of which you can find in the Neutrals assortment of card stock.

I have it on my desk (the front deak) at work. It has attracted some notice! Are you thinking of doing a class for it?
