I shared a Shaker Card last week, and today I have another interactive card for you: a Spinner Card!

I love spinners!  They are just fun to play with!!

I think you’ll like this one, too.

This card features Flight of the Butterfly and uses the new Butterfly punch.  Perfect combo! Love it!

As you tilt the card from side to side, the butterfly spins!  I added a sentiment from the stamp set that shows through the spinning section.

These cards are really best seen in person.  But I did the next best thing- a video!  Its just a few seconds and shows that butterfly move!

This card is definitely going to be one of the projects we make at my On the Move card class.  Sign up today!

Build a Bear Workshop & Stampin’ Up!

I am so excited to share with you the best mini catalog ever!  Really!  Its this year’s Holiday Mini Catalog.

Along with the holiday sets (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), Stampin’ Up! is introducing three new product lines.

First, there’s Simply Adorned.  These are charms and chains that you use to create unique jewelry and home decor.

Also, My Digital Studio- which I am so stoked about!!!  Digital (and hybrid!) scrapbooking- the Stampin’ Up! way!!!  I’ll share more about that later.

Today, I’m sharing with you the partnership between Build a Bear Workshop and Stampin’ Up!  Genius!

BABW pic by you.

Build A Bear Workshop is very popular in my house.  My daughter, Esther, got her first Build A Bear for her birthday last year.  She loves her Princess Fluffy.  We’ll probably take my son to get his first for his birthday later this month.  (They’ve got some cool boy styles.)

My kids got SO excited when I showed them the BABW section of the Holiday Mini.  They want it all!  We’ve got three stamp sets, eight Sizzix dies and patterned paper.  They are all fabulous for making cards and scrapbook pages.  But with the dies, you can also make super cute and easy paper dolls for the kids, where the can change the clothes and have so much fun!  Your kids, grandkids and friends’ kids will have hours of fun playing with these.

On Monday, I went to a demonstrator swap where we made cards with a lot of the Holiday Mini products.  I’ll share the rest of the projects later this week.  Today I’m sharing the bears. :)  Both cards are made with the new set Beary Best Friends.

This is the project I designed:

build a bear- mine by you.

I stamped and watercolored our cute girly bear using Watercolor Wonder Crayons.  Then I punched out the flower and balloon from our new Cottage Wall DSP.  (The punches are the Trio Flower & the 3/4″ Circle punches.)  I popped those up with Dimensionals. I made the grass using the Scallop Edge punch, like I did with my Upsy Daisy silhouttes card.  I popped that up with Dimensionals, too.  The background was made with my Big Shot and Stampin’ Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz plates.

This one was designed by fellow demonstrator Aimee Wayment.

I love how she used Crystal Effects to shine the shoes!  Also notice how the skirt is “paper-pierced” using Razzleberry Lemonade DSP.

The sentiment up on the side is from Beary Nice Wishes.  They are cute sayings in the BABW font.

Scrapbook Page: Bringing Jared Home

Last week, I made this 2-page-spread.  I don’t do my scrapbooking in any order, the way some scrappers work chronologically, or do holidays or vacations first.  I just work on whatever I feel like.  This time I pulled up photos of my little boy, born almost 4 years ago, and the day we took him home from the hospital.

This page is simple, and I like it!

I mostly did basic stamping, then used punches and Paper Snips to cut out the images.  I used Dimensionals to pop up some of the elements.

I used a little grosgrain ribbon throughout the page.  Here, I opened the prongs of a Silver Brad and wrapped them around the ribbon.

I had this scrap of designer paper that I had used to punch out stars for another project.  I liked the way it looked, so I just layered it over the photo mat.  This is what started the page, and I added the other stamped and punched stars around the page to tie everything together.

An All-American Package

American package 1 by you.

Last week I sent this package to my little brother.  He is in Canada serving a mission for our church.  Since he hasn’t been gone from home very long, and its his first holiday away and they don’t celebrate the 4th in Canada, I sent him an Independence Day package.  It was really fun to put together!

Use these ideas to make decorations of your own for the fourth, or for the rest of the summer.

My package starts with a handmade card, of course!  :)

This is a quick and simple one to make.  I simply cut a Whisper White piece of card stock a little smaller than my Ballet Blue card base.  I added Real Red 5/8″ Wide Grosgrain Ribbon for stripes.  The star I stamped with a small stamp from the Nursery Necessities set onto Brushed Silver card stock (its so pretty!).  Then I punched it out with the Large Star Punch, and layered that onto a square of Night of Navy card stock with Dimensionals.

I made both the card and these “firecracker” sparklers with my club last month.  These are also quick to put together.  (I taught them to make the card, the “firecrackers”, and a scrapbook page in an hour!)

American package 4 by you.

To make these cute “firecrackers”, wrap a 3″ x 3″ piece of DSP around a lifesaver!  Then punch Real Red card stock with the Small Star punch and Large Tag Punch, and Night of Navy card stock with the Small Tag punch.  Layer together, punch a hole in the top, and tie onto the firecracker with Real Red Gingham Ribbon.  Punch a hole in the top of the candy with the Paper Piercer and stick in the foil stars (I got mine from the Dollar Tree.)

These double as decorations and party favors!

(Sorry these photos are so dark!  I took the pictures in the evening with bad lighting.)

Next, I took some photos of my ‘lil American cuties that had been taken at a Memorial Day party this year and made a small folding scrapbook.

I added a bunch of these “confetti” stars (punched out of card stock that matched the projects with the Small Star Punch) and candy with red & blue wrappers (he says he can’t find Almond Joy in Canada!).

I hope he likes it!

6×6 Pocket Album Class

6x6 Pocket Album 1 by you.

I had a lot of fun making this little album!  It was fast and easy to do, too.  It features the Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin’ Kit and also uses some Baja Breeze Designer Series Paper (both items are now sold out!).

This book is 6″x6″, and 3/4″ to 1″ thick.  It has a belly band made with card stock & ribbon to keep it closed.  The album has two flaps, a fold-out section, and 6 envelopes holding coordinating pull-out pages.  All together, there are 19 spots for photos and/or journaling!  There are plenty of accents left in the kit to decorate the album more as I add photos to it.  I plan on using it to record this summer’s activities and memories.  Now that Esther is in school, summer will be even more special for our family.

I’ll bet you’d like to make this yourself!  Well, you’re lucky because I’m having a class this month to teach you how!  And I have just enough supplies for 8 lucky crafters!   You’ll take home instructions with photos so you can make more at home for yourself, or as gifts!

Sheep Treats

 sheep treats 1 by you.

I made these treats for the teachers of the children at my church.  I’ll be giving them to the teachers on Easter- this Sunday.

The lamb I CASED from a card I made last month.  These would make great baby shower favors, too!

sheep treats 2 by you.

I used the Scallop Circle Punch for the body, and another one, punched smaller for the head.  The face was made with the Small Oval Punch, and the legs with the Word Window Punch.  For the ears, I used the retired Spring Flowers punch, and just snipped a few petals off a flower.  You could use the current Bojo Blossoms Punch, I think.

For the paper filler inside the Cello Bags, I simply took the same Designer Paper as on the topper, and used the Paper Cutter to cut 3″ long skinny strips.  Then I ran them through my Crimper.  (Actually, my husband and 3-year-old son helped with the crimping.  Boys like that tool.  lol.)

I hope you (and the teachers) like my Easter goodies!
